6,000-Year-Old Oak Coffee Table

A one-of-a-kind coffee table made from approximately 6,000-year-old oak, preserved underground for thousands of years.

The individual pieces of ancient wood have been carefully fitted together, with the natural gaps filled with a golden metal and resin inlay, creating a striking contrast with the deep, almost black color of the wood.

The legs are made from solid oak, finished with a black lacquer, providing a clean, understated base that keeps the focus on the ancient wood.

Every detail of this table was made by hand in my workshop in Berlin. The age of the wood has been verified through laboratory dating, and the table comes with a Marmota Works Certificate of Authenticity.
